NR6CA - ROVER

This was my first attempt at roving. We were on a cross country trip in a rental motorhome and now tow a vehicle along with us. We have since purchased our own coach and do tow a Jeep Liberty behind it. My second attempt was in the Jeep roving in Eastern Pennsylvania and then down into Maryland and Delaware to help out the Mt. Airy VHF Club contest score in the June 2006 Contest. The dish with my call on it is 10 GHz, the other large dish is 24 GHz and the smaller one is my 47 GHz dish. The transverters are all mounted behind the respective dish. This location was on the border of FN00 and FN10

The VHF through microwave equipment can be moved from where I keep it in storage into my Jeep Liberty Custom to be used as a Rover. The rover station is ready to go with a gasoline powered generator for mountain top contest operation. Rover operation would utilize all bands from 50 MHZ through 47 GHz plus a laser transceiver.
