NR6CA's 24 GHZ STATION
The drawing below is a block diagram of my 24 GHz station:

Equipment and specifications are as follows:
- DB6NT transverter, 144 MHz IF, .3 mW output, 8 dB noise figure
- DB6NT 245 HP low noise amplifier, > 34 dB gain, 1.9 dB noise figure and rated at 77 mW output (only used as a preamp)
- DB6NT 12 LO, 12.024 GHz local oscillator
- Wesich WR-42 transfer switch
- mm-Tech 2 watt, >50 dB gain linear amplifier
- Andrew VHLP-220-G01 .6 meter dish with splash feed
- A customer R-320 (IEC Andrew round waveguide) to WR-42 adapter
- One WR-42 filter on the output of the transverter
- Two WR-42 circulators to protect the mm-Tech linear
- Three WR-42 to SMA adapters
- 20 GHz SMA transfer relay
- A 12 dB SMA attenuator on the output of the LNA so I don't overdrive the receiver
- Two SMA coaxial cables rated for 24 GHz
- A 3 dB 5 watt attenuator to drop the 5 watts of 144 power from the IC-706 MkIIG to 2.5 watts
The pictures below are of the actual equipment installed on the back of the Andrews .6 meter dish antenna:
