A SIX METER 100 WATT LINEAR AMP BY NR6CA

This is an amplifier I designed back in the late 1970's. It uses an SD-1450 device that easily provided 100 watts output with about 11 dB of gain. It was unconditionally stable into a 50 ohm load. When I first did the design I had a 10 watt transceiver, a TS-600 and wanted a little more power. I was able to switch between the 100 watt solid state amplifier and a pair of 4CX-250B's that provided several hundres watts for a litlle more contest or band opening punch.

The SD-1450 is no longer available but there are a number of devices that would work just fine with this design. One that comes to mind is a Motorola MRF-454 that should be happy in this circuit. Some Sd-1450 still show up at various times and places.
